Humanity and its greatest Affliction

We are looking at an unprecedented flow of migration that will only increase if the world community fails to prevent further conflicts (in fact, full blown wars) and to pacify the old ones.

People are on the run from all corners of the earth...

Many die on their desperate search for protection and the desire to finally live in security and peace; on their trek to freedom, often nothing more in their luggage than hope.

But, do we not all want such a life of peace and prosperity? Some of us are merely fortunate enough to live in countries where for almost 100 years now, there has been no war, but all the more prosperity. Yet, times for us are changing!

Once again, the world is in turmoil, our values ??and rights are threatened by dangerous demagogues, hate preachers who use vile slogans - and even incite violence - to break apart world order. They play with mankind's inherent fears, with existing prejudices and with our beliefs. We must not allow that to happen, otherwise humanity, decency and moral will cease to exist for a longtime, as it did before in human history! Civilizations before us have been destroyed in this way. We are currently in the process of joining them...that is, if we cannot prevail against this evil.

And while we are still quarreling with fate, the killing continues! We see it daily on our news screens: Syria, Somalia, Yemen ... there is a never-ending list of places where people experience infinite suffering. And it's always the weakest who have to endure the most. Cruelly, they are also being made into scapegoats by said demagogues, as more and more are dismissed from our homelands or stopped at our borders, as they come begging for admittance desparate for survival.
