When little souls are crushed and die, before they ever fly...

The war in Bosnia from 1992 to 1995 was the most cruel conflict in Europe since World War II. More than 100,000 people died, and two million were displaced. There was "ethnic cleansing", torture and rape on all sides, but most of all Serbian units and the Serbs-dominated Yugoslav army. More than 700,000 people fled abroad, half of them to Germany. Most of them later returned to their homeland...

... but the trauma of the former war children, who were witnesses and often victims of unimaginable atrocities, remains with them to this day.
