This poem by Erich Kästner is very relevant again today, because with Donald Trump having been elected once again as president of the USA and his recent anouncement of his future cabinet members (whom "The Song of the Small Man"  fits like a glove in a very frightening way), the civilized western world will very soon have to deal with a United States of America whose new government is going to share dangerous similarities with the Third Reich.
