Ani was working on the draft of a poem that was to be the most important one in her new collection of English poetry, since she had intended the book's title to be "The Snowbird" - in fond memory of her late father, whose favorite song had the same one.
Then came what poets and writers fear most: writer's block! All of a sudden, not a single rhyme would form.
As she agonized more and more over the emptiness in her brain, she remembered a piece of advice that a friend and colleague had once given her: "Once in a while, it helps to say everything outloud."
And, low and behold: now, words and rhyme magically flowed on their own.
She seized the opportunity and began to record her freely spoken rhymes. By no means would she have thought that this would ultimately turn into an audio piece fit for publishing.
